Overnight in Los Angeles, Deontay Wilder was taken into custody on criminal charges related to concealed Gun.
Police have not corroborated a story by TMZ Sports that claims Wilder’s car was halted by them during a routine traffic stop and that they discovered a gun inside.

According to law enforcement officials, Wilder was stopped in Hollywood at about 1:15 AM because LAPD police allegedly claimed that the windows of his Rolls-Royce were improperly tinted and that his license plate was obscured.
To all the 🤡s who have argued with us for years about making weed "legal" the police said he was pulled over for an obstructed license plate but they searched his car because of a "burnt marijuana smell."

Police said that during the check, they detected the scent of smoked marijuana emanating from his vehicle, prompting them to search it. According to our sources, they then took Wilder into arrest after discovering marijuana and a 9mm in the car. The 6-foot-7 combatant reportedly behaved amicably and cooperatively throughout the entire situation.
Wilder released a brief statement on Twitter, which read: “I’d rather be safe than sorry. The End.”

According to TMZ, the 6-foot-7-inch boxer, who is most remembered for his two horrifying defeats to British heavyweight Tyson Fury, cooperated throughout the arrest.
He was released on a $35,000 bail after being accused of having a hidden firearm, a crime, according to ESPN.
